Designations
What do all those letters after a REALTOR®’s name mean?
They show the designations a REALTOR® has earned to further their professional
development. To earn a designation, a REALTOR® has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge
in a particular area of the real estate industry.
Designations and Certification are awarded by the National Association
of REALTORS® and its institutes, societies and councils upon completion of required courses.

ABR®, Accredited Buyer Representative
The Accredited Buyer Representative designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation
is awarded to real estate practitioners by REBAC (the Real Estate BUYER’S AGENT Council) of the National Association of
REALTORS®, who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
Over 31,000 REALTORS®

ABRMsm,
Accredited Buyer Representative Manager
For managers, brokers and owners
who have incorporated, or wish to incorporate, buyer representation into their company's practice. Designees have taken and passed both the ABR® and ABRMsm course and provided documentation of past management experience.
Developed in partnership with
the Council of Real Estate Brokerage (CRB) Managers, the ABRMsm is the only
buyer representation designation for managers, brokers, and owners affiliated with NAR.
The ABRMsm designation can be obtained through on-line education
from REALTOR®
University.
The Administrative
ABR®
The Administrative ABR®
designation is given to REBAC members who do not buy or sell real estate, but work in administrative capacitates to assist
in their office's buyer representation business.
REBAC, Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council
REBAC is geared towards real estate brokers and agents who want to integrate buyer agency services into their day-to-day
operations so that they can provide a full menu of services to both buyers and sellers.

ALC, Accredited Land
Consultant
ALC’s are
the recognized experts in land brokerage transactions of five specialized types: (1) farms and ranches; (2) undeveloped tracts

Women’s Council of REALTORS®
The Women’s Council of REALTORS® provides an extensive referral

LTG, Leadership Training
Graduate
The LTG Program was instituted in 1984. Its core focus was on personal
and professional development, recognizing real estate’s top producers by helping them succeed in career leadership through
a blend of education and experience.
In 1989, WCR established the Referral & Relocation Certification
(RRC) and in 1994, the RRC was incorporated into the LTG program.
In November of 2003 WCR launched the
new PMN Designation, which has replaced the LTG Designation.
PMN, Performance Management
Network.
PMN is the next-generation REALTOR® designation
designed from the ground up to bring you real-world skills that will keep your business out front and on top of a dynamic
real estate market.
