Very soon, Congress will vote on legislation that will determine
if small businesses and self-employed workers – including REALTORS® – will be able to get access to quality health
insurance. The legislation would allow small businesses to enroll in the same kind of health care plans enjoyed by large corporations
and unions.
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® supports such access.
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is calling for action
(CFA) to its members to encourage the U.S. Senate to move forward on the Small Business Health Fairness Act.
Leveraging the strength of more than one million members,
NAR carries a lot of political clout, enabling you to reach the key decision-makers in Congress. However, before your voice
can be heard on Capitol Hill, you need to act.
The Step You Need to Take Now to Affect Change
To give voice to a million members and create effective,
targeted grassroots action, NAR has created the NAR Action Center. As an NAR member, you have the opportunity to register
and join fellow REALTORS® in affecting change at the grassroots level.
Once registered at the NAR Action Center, you can let your
voice be heard by contacting your senators regarding S.406, the Small Business Health Fairness Act, sponsored by Reps. Olympia
Snowe (R-ME) and Robert Byrd (D-WV). You'll be able to send your senators an online letter – directly from the NAR Action
Center – urging them to support the Small Business Health Fairness Act. You can also encourage other REALTORS® to take
action by e-mailing them about this and other important legislative issues.
