REALTOR® of the
Year 2008
Congratulations to Michael P. Travers, who was
chosen as the 2008 REALTOR® of the Year for the Tri-County Board.
Mike has been a REALTOR® since 1999 and holds
an ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and ASR (Accredited Seller Representative) Designation. He's an agent at Jack Conway
& Company in Bridgewater with the Conway Degree of Excellence and is a Conway Senior Specialist.
Prior to entering into the real estate business,
he was a Home Improvement Contractor for over 20 years, and is retired from the U. S. Army Medical Corp., where he received
a Meritorious Service Metal and 6 Army Commondation Metals.
He currently serves as MAR Regional Vice-President
and Director of the Tri-County Board of REALTORS®. He also serves on the Program Committee, Finance Committee, and is
Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee. He was President of the Board in 2007 and served as MAR Director,
MAR Arbitration/Mediation Officer and on the MAR Professional Standards Committee.
Mike lives in East Bridgewater and his civic activity
includes the American Red Cross Shelter Operation from 2001 to 2007, American Red Cross Community Liaison to the town of East Bridgewater since 2007, the Kiwanis of East Bridgewater's Board
of Directors since 2004, and the East Bridgewater Business Association since 2005. He serves as an East Bridgewater
Constable and is a member of East Bridgewater's Community Emergency Response Team.
He also produces and hosts a cable access television show in East Bridgewater, called "Around
the town with Mike Travers."
Mike strives to improve the image and reputation
of REALTORS® and has been interviewed by the Boston Business Journal, Brockton Enterprise and East Bridgewater Express.
