REALTOR® of the Year is the highest honor that this Board can bestow upon one of its members. The Award is presented annually to a REALTOR® nominated by their peers, then selected by the REALTOR®
of the Year Committee, which is an impartial panel made up of past REALTORS® of the Year. The Committee reviews
all nominations, taking into consideration the member’s involvement in civic affairs and participation in local, state
and national committees. They also consider the member’s REALTOR® spirit and business accomplishments.
REALTOR® of the
Year 2011 Congratulations to Ruth V. Littleton, who was chosen as the 2011 REALTOR®
of the Year for the Tri-County Board. Ruth has been a REALTOR® since
2001 and is co-owner with her husband Van of the Littleton Realty Group in Brockton. She is also licensed to sell real estate in Rhode Island. She is currently a Director of the Tri-County Board of REALTORS®. She also serves
on the Education Program Committee and Finance Committee. She is Chairman of the Membership Committee as well
as Chairman of the "Charitable Outreach" Committee. She is President of the Board for 2012 and serves
as a MAR Director. She also belongs to the Women's Council of REALTORS®, the Metro South Chamber
of Commerce, the Brockton Area Networking Group and the Compassionate Friends-South Shore Chapter. Prior to entering into
the real estate business, Ruth was in the child care business for 23 years. She resides with her husband in Brockton.
REALTOR®
of the Year Nomination If you know someone whom you feel has contributed on
behalf of you, the Board, and the Real Estate industry, please send in their name for the REALTOR® of the Year
Award. Nominees will be qualified and asked to complete a qualification form, and will be judged on the following basis: Local Board Activities State Association Activities National Association Activities Community Action Service Business Accomplishments REALTOR® Spirit Each candidate is carefully screened and the selection
is based on actual performance between January 1 of the previous year and June 1 of the current year. Nominations must be received by June 1st. Please state
your name and the Tri-County Board of REALTORS® member that you would like to nominate for REALTOR®
