REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark which may be used only by real estate professionals
who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and subscribe to its strict Code of Ethics.
The
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is the owner of numerous MARKS, including but not limited to the REALTOR®
LOGO, and the terms REALTOR®, which are referred to collectively as the MARKS.
The
MARKS serve to identify members of the National Association and distinguish them from non-members.
The
preservation of trademarks requires that they be used only in their trademarked form. They should be distinguished from traditional
words and must always include the registration symbol "®."
The
Membership Marks Manual explains the application of guidelines to assist in the proper use of the MARKS. The purpose of the manual is to protect the MARKS and assure that they are used consistently.
